The flu vaccine is available for distribution to Adelphi University students, faculty and staff.

We have 3 different forms:

  • Thimerosol Free for Pregnant or allergic issues
  • Regular Flu Vaccine
  • and the High Dose Vaccine for those over 65 years of age

(All of our vaccines are non-attenuated vaccine, aka non-live vaccines)

There is a $15 charge for vaccination. Students may charge the fee to their student account all others must pay by check. We do not accept cash at the Health Services Center. If you must pay by cash or credit card you can pre-pay at the cashier’s office in the basement of Levermore and bring your receipt to our office. Note the cashiers office is open until 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday and until 4:00 p.m on. Fridays.

For anyone paying at our office, you will receive a receipt but because we do not bill you may not be re-imbursed by insurance or a flex spending account. We offer the vaccine as a courtesy to the campus to make it easily accessible for many.

For any questions regarding the vaccine, see the Vaccine Information Sheet from the CDC. You may also visit the CDC website for full information regarding this flu season and the vaccine.

All visits are by appointment only. Appointment times are Monday through Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Fridays will be offered 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. only. All vaccines are given on the Garden City Campus. You may call 516.877.6001 or ext. 6002 during regular business hours to schedule an appointment.
