Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
A semicolon is punctuation that is often used in place of a period. It allows for a sentence to go on and provides for continuation where there could have been an end. Project semicolon seeks to do the same thing by encouraging continuation and providing a new beginning to where there could have been an end. Project semicolon was established in 2013 to raise awareness on mental health topics such as depression, addiction, self injury, suicide and the strength and will to carry on.
Adelphi University stands with Project Semicolon and their vision of a community that stands together, declares hope, and embraces the value of each and every individual. By signing your name you are helping to break the stigma of mental illness on Adelphi’s campus and in our society. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
